While listening to Aldo Vacca on I’ll Drink to That! podcast, of course, I had to reach into the cellar and commit an infanticide and open up a 2014 Barbaresco to get a feel for the vintage and also get a sense of the produttori’s that I have not had a chance to open up and seriously taste.
Having heard a lot about the crus from the Produttori for a while now, I finally have a sense of what very good Barbaresco feels like. The aromatics, the fullness without the weight is intoxicating. For a while, after decanting the wine, the room was full of this wonderful aroma.
More when I taste more but the combination of the Beemster aged gouda was fantastic!
